Single Origin Vanilla

Vanillas from the world, to your pantry

Vanilla Extract made from natural vanilla beans is Rodelle’s specialty, and we’re proud to have new options for discerning consumers looking for a unique experience. Single-origin vanilla extracts are one way to experience pure vanilla's nuances . Over the past 100 years, vanilla has become more plentiful. It is grown in numerous regions around the world to impart a unique flavor with every different region that produces the vanilla pod. Keep in mind, these vanillas of the world are also the most labor-intensive crop in the world.

What’s vanilla extract made from?

In each batch of our single-origin vanilla extracts, we carefully select vanilla beans from a unique country or growing region. Those vanilla beans are extracted with water and alcohol, per the FDA standard for pure vanilla extract. So, the quality is the same high standard that you will expect from Rodelle. But, for the fun part, each vanilla growing region has a bit of a different flavor profile. Which means vanilla from one place will smell and taste a little different from another place…sort of like wine, chocolate, coffee and other crops where the terroir of the soil affects flavors!
